Description

American Traveler is seeking a registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience and a minimum of 2 prior travel assignments for a day shift position at a Magnet-designated, acute care teaching hospital.

Details

• Acute care inpatient setting at a 637-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Adult respiratory therapy unit
• Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Weekend availability required on an as-needed basis
• Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister facilities
• No on-call required
• Charting in Epic (preferred, not required)
• 13-week contract minimum; candidates interested in a longer assignment are encouraged to note their preference

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• At least 2 completed travel assignments beyond initial staff position
• Active Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license required; pending license not accepted
• BLS certification required
• COVID vaccination and booster required, no exceptions
• Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Manager conducts an in-depth interview as part of the selection process
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restriction applies
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Prior UW staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO is not permitted during orientation week and should otherwise be kept to a minimum; maximum of 1 week of RTO per contract
• No block scheduling accommodations available
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable
