American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 12-hour night shift position at a community hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center, requiring regional floating across multiple facilities.

Details

• 207-bed community hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center; no trauma designation and not a teaching hospital
• Respiratory Care department serving an adult-only patient population with an average census of 225 patients per day
• Floating is required across all units within the facility and across Region 1 facilities, including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, any Freestanding ED within the Region, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH) — candidates must be agreeable to this requirement
• 12-hour night shifts, 1900–0700, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved, excluding holidays; if contracted hours cannot be met, time must be added to the end of the contract
• 6-week scheduling cycle
• Epic EMR
• Department-specific equipment includes Servo ventilators, Nitric Oxide, Volara, and Airvo 2

Requirements

• RRT or CRT credential required
• Active NC licensure required (license required if applicable)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience in ICU, ED, and Progressive Care settings required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
