American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 4+ years of pediatric and PICU experience for a night shift travel contract at a children's hospital in Temple, TX.

• Children's hospital inpatient setting, pediatric cardiopulmonary unit
• General pediatrics and PICU patient population
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher in a related field required
• Minimum 4 years of experience in general pediatrics and PICU required
• Required certifications: RRT, RCP, BLS (AHA only), and PALS
• Preferred certification: NRP
• Active TX license required (if applicable)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Flu shot required; no exemptions granted
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administers respiratory care services including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, inhaled medications, airway clearance, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and bedside spirometry per physician orders
• Responds to emergency situations requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Reviews physician orders, interprets diagnostic results, and implements approved protocols based on the patient's clinical condition
• Assesses patient response to therapy and provides instruction on the use of respiratory care equipment
• Documents all treatments, therapies, and associated charges accurately
• Child-friendly scrubs in any color are acceptable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local travelers are accepted
