Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Ohio, requiring at least 1 year of CVOR experience and Level I Trauma facility background.

Details

• Position is in a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) unit within a heart hospital setting
• Surgical specialties include cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant procedures
• Schedule consists of a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour evening shifts (approximately 10:30 AM–11 PM and 2:30 PM–11 PM windows), with flexibility required
• On-call is required: evening shift RNs take approximately 24 hours of call per 4-week period, including weekend call
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac, vascular, and transplant nursing
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Proficiency in general OR, cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant surgical settings
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be flexible with scheduling

• On-call obligations are distributed across the 4-week schedule period, with evening shift carrying the primary weekend call responsibility
• Parking is available on campus through CampusParc with multiple permit options at the nurse's own expense
• No break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (does not apply to Sterile Processing Techs)
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
