American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency, working night shifts in a hospital setting in Georgia.

Details

• Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Adult to geriatric patient population with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 on a 16-room unit
• EMR: Epic (required); also uses Pyxis and SBAR communication framework
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred

• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work 2, with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Candidates must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for a minimum of 1 full year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the listed night shift is firm
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is needed to start on time
