American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Specialty Step Down position requiring at least one year of med/surg step-down experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Hospital-based Med Specialty Step Down unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Med/surg step-down (MS/SD) experience is required; ICU experience is preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be AHA-issued
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Med/surg step-down experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, and delegating tasks to support staff
• BSN from a board-approved program is preferred
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension) before being eligible for a new contract
• Compliance requirements are strict and non-negotiable — onboarding processes including drug screens and background checks must begin immediately upon engagement
