American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital, with at least 1 year of IR experience and active NC or compact RN license required.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a large, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital
• Serves a high-volume patient population of adults and pediatrics from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
• Average of 50–60 patients per day in workup and recovery
• Day shift, 8 hours, 0800–1700
• On-call is required and rotated fairly among full-time, part-time, PRN, and travel staff based on team size
• No floating required
• No weekend/weekday rotations — travelers remain on the assigned shift for the duration of their contract
• EMR: Epic
• Equipment includes iSTAT and point-of-care (POC) devices

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of core Interventional Radiology nursing experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Department is supported by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager, with a diverse team ranging from new grads to long-tenured staff
• Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour with introductions; departmental orientation is approximately 5 days but flexible based on traveler needs
• Holiday coverage is expected unless time off is approved in advance by the manager
• RTO is subject to manager approval
• Navy blue scrubs are required for nursing staff

• Former permanent employees of any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
