Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ICU and ED experience for a night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital.

Details

• 388-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Night shift: 18:45–07:15 (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• Optional call available but not required
• May float within respiratory service line and scope of practice to meet facility needs
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills include arterial punctures, airway management, ABGs, O2 therapy, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP, and CPAP

Requirements

• Current RRT credential required
• BLS (BCLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• ICU and ED experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid Missouri state license required; Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Scrub color: black or ceil blue
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• High degree of self-motivation, independent work ability, and emotional intelligence are expected for this role
