American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 3+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma, tertiary teaching hospital in Portland, ME.

Details

• Night shift hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Full-time respiratory therapy department covering the entire facility with a team of 14–16 RRTs
• Patient population includes adult acute and critical care, pediatric acute care, NICU, PICU, and ED patients
• Patient ratios: 1:25 for acute care and 1:8 for critical care
• Ventilators and equipment include: Dräger V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, and Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm
• EMR: Epic
• On-call requirement: 2-hour call for the oncoming shift
• Floating required across adult, pediatric, NICU/PICU, and ED settings; 25-mile float policy between facilities may apply
• 26-week contract

Requirements

• RRT credential required
• Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience at a tertiary, academic teaching hospital required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• NICU, PICU, pediatric acute care, and ED experience required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred; NRP required for NICU
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Preferred experience includes NICU, PICU, and cardiothoracic respiratory care
• Scrubs are provided or flexible attire is acceptable
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may not be eligible for travel pay rates
• Local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this information
• Travel pairs or groups are not permitted
