American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years of experience for an evening/night shift position at a Magnet-designated Level 1 Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital in Madison, WI.

Details

• Inpatient respiratory therapy unit at a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center
• Patient population includes both adult and pediatric patients at the IMC and ICU level
• Performs aerosolized medication delivery, volume expansion, airway clearance techniques, tracheostomy care, sputum inductions, and non-invasive and mechanical ventilation
• Evening and night shift hours: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12) and 3:00 PM–11:00 PM (5x8)
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holiday coverage required
• One on-call shift per 6-week scheduling period
• Travelers are the first to float and may be assigned to multiple units or locations within the organization based on staffing needs

Requirements

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a staff respiratory therapist
• Experience in an academic Level 1 Trauma Center or similarly sized hospital required
• Pediatric and adult experience preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience highly preferred
• RRT credential from the NBRC required
• CRT credential from the NBRC required
• Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required upon hire — license required if applicable
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Candidate's permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, care team leaders, nurses, and patients/families to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
