Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital Medical Rehabilitation Unit with at least 1 year of experience and active WV PT licensure.

Details

• Medical Rehabilitation Unit within a trauma hospital setting
• Primarily stroke patients, comprising approximately 40% of the caseload
• Maximum of 5 patients per day, typically 3–4 patients per day at approximately 90 minutes per session
• Patient-to-therapist ratio of 1:5
• Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm
• No weekend, on-call, or float requirements
• Charting is performed in Cerner

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Active West Virginia PT license required prior to start; pending licensure considered
• Current BLS certification required
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption accepted with documentation from an allergist or physician
• Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
• License required if applicable
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
