American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and/or PICU experience for a night shift travel contract at a children's acute care teaching hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Details

• Work in the NICU at a 400-bed children's acute care teaching hospital
• Pediatric and neonatal patient population, including pediatric critical care cases
• Experience with ED and Level 1 trauma facility workflows utilized
• Charts using Epic (experience required)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required
• On-call is not required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current RRT and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• NICU and/or PICU experience required
• Pediatric critical care and ED experience required
• Level 1 trauma facility experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid MO State License required; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients in the NICU
• Scrub color is open or facility-branded St. Louis Children's Hospital T-shirts/jackets
• No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates (within 75 miles) are not accepted
• Parking is available in an on-site garage at the candidate's expense
