Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage is required; only 1 holiday off can be approved per contract
• Floating within the hospital or to a sister campus may be required based on facility needs
• Charting performed in Epic
• On-call is not required
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Current RRT license; license required if applicable (pending licensure not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience
• Comfort and proficiency working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Solid black or black-and-white scrubs required
• Pre-start facility modules must be completed prior to first shift (approximately 4–10 hours)
• Maximum of 4 days of RTO permitted per contract; all RTO requests must be submitted upfront
• Any missed shifts due to call-outs may require a makeup shift at the department's discretion
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning; night shift travelers may extend up to twice before needing a 6-month break
• This position is not open to first-time travelers residing locally, per the radius rule
