American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with an Oklahoma license and 2+ years of acute and med/surg experience for an inpatient rehab position in Lawton, OK.

Details

• Inpatient rehab setting at a 265-bed regional referral center in Lawton, OK
• Patient population spans a wide age range, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Day shift, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 10 hours per day
• Some weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current active PTA license in Oklahoma required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care and med/surg PTA experience required
• Recent travel experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform selected physical therapy procedures under the direction and supervision of a registered Physical Therapist
• Treat patients using modalities and therapeutic exercise in accordance with individualized, approved treatment plans
• Complete all daily documentation, including daily notes and discharge data
• Assist in maintaining the department in a neat and orderly manner
• Allied and therapy travelers begin orientation on Tuesdays
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for the duration of the assignment
• Former direct employees of the facility must wait at least 6 months after the end of their direct employment before returning through an agency
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
