American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (NICU) with 3+ years of Level 3 NICU experience for a day shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Northern Nevada.

Details

• NICU setting with floating required to adult critical care and neonatal critical care areas
• Day shift hours, 0600–1830, with variable days
• Two shift options available: 3x12-hour shifts per week or 4x12-hour shifts per week
• On-call requirements as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• RRT credential required
• Minimum 3 years of Level 3 NICU experience required
• Demonstrated competency in high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, heliox, neonatal intubation, neonatal ventilator management, bubble CPAP, heated high flow for neonates, neonatal arterial puncture, and delivery attendance
• Active (non-pending) license required; license required if applicable
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP (AHA-issued only)
• ABG license required
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Administer respiratory care by physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation, management, patient education, and rehabilitation for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies
• Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
• Apply and monitor medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and pharmacological agents related to respiratory care
• Provide hemodynamic cardiovascular support and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
• NICU transport experience is preferred
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
