American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of experience for a night shift travel assignment at an acute care Level III Trauma Center in Washington, MO.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with comprehensive medical, surgical, obstetric, and pediatric services
• Designated Level III Trauma Center, Level II Stroke Center, and Level II STEMI Center
• Respiratory therapy department
• Night shift: 7p–7a, 3x12 schedule
• Weekend hours as needed
• Must float as needed
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory care, emergency care, and intensive care
• Current RCP license in the state of practice (license required if applicable)
• Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documentation of scheduled renewal is provided
• Strong knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Experience with respiratory equipment including therapeutic gas administration apparatus and mechanical ventilators
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include setting up and operating therapeutic gas administration apparatus and mechanical ventilators
• Provides emergency care including external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• Maintains accurate patient identification and therapy information in charts
• Basic nursery experience is a plus
• Scrub color: black
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Candidates within 50 miles of the facility are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a 1-year separation or transition to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
• COVID and flu vaccination cards may be required as part of the consideration process
