American Traveler is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of recent inpatient experience for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Level III trauma hospital in Bemidji, MN.

Details

• Inpatient acute care setting at a Level III trauma hospital licensed for 118 beds
• Therapy caseload typically averages approximately 30-40 patients
• Patient population includes adults with general deconditioning, total joint replacement, post-op ortho, neurological diagnoses, and general medical-surgical cases
• Monday through Friday day shift, 8-hour shifts; no call or weekend requirements
• Potential to float to outpatient if needed
• Cross-training to SNF for intermittent coverage is preferred but not required
• EPIC EMR used in this position
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MN Occupational Therapist license required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient hospital experience within the past 3 years
• Active BLS certification (AHA) required
• Willingness to float to outpatient as needed
• 2 current professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from the position's specialty within the last 3 years
• Active certifications and active license required at time of consideration; no pending certifications accepted

Additional Information

• Evaluate and treat adult patients across a variety of diagnoses in the acute hospital setting
• Will not work alone on shift
• Orientation includes computer-based organizational onboarding as well as 1-on-1 EPIC and department-specific orientation
• Dress code is charcoal grey scrubs or business casual
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must disclose this on their resume or submission materials
• Candidates with prior Sanford Health employment must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their submission date
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are subject to a local rate adjustment
