Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with PICU/NICU experience for a day shift travel assignment at a children's hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.

Details

• Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a children's hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 staff beds
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required, variable schedule
• Block scheduling required
• No on-call required
• No floating between units within this position
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• EMR: Epic (required)
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space; bike racks available

Requirements

• Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
• Minimum 2 years of PICU and/or NICU experience required
• Current certifications: PALS and NRP required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• RTO is expected to be minimal; all RTO requests must be submitted upfront, as post-offer requests may be denied
