American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist with inpatient rehab experience for a 13-week assignment at a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL.

Details

• Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 50 beds
• Occupational Therapy department specializing in inpatient rehabilitation
• Adult patient population with diagnoses including stroke, TBI, SCI, neurological conditions, orthopedic injury, amputation, and cardiopulmonary conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:5–7 depending on acuity
• Day shift, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Altered work week: Sunday through Thursday with 8 hours of weekend coverage
• No call or float requirements
• Specialized equipment includes Smart Car, In-Motion Arm Bionik, Saebo, TBI gym, dedicated transfer rooms, outdoor functional courtyard, EKSO, and Senaptec
• Cerner EHR in use
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years of OT experience
• Experience in acute, subacute, SNF, or inpatient rehab settings preferred
• Active OT license required if applicable
• BLS certification required (RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Propensity for functional interventions and experience with group and concurrent therapy modes preferred
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide individualized occupational therapy to patients recovering from neuro, ortho, TBI, SCI, and cardiopulmonary conditions
• Strong communication, collaboration, and a patient-first attitude are key to success in this role
• Green scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
