American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level 1 Trauma and Epic experience for a night shift travel position at an acute care hospital in Illinois.

Details

• Inpatient acute care hospital setting with respiratory care services
• Provides respiratory therapy on inpatient units and in the Emergency Department
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 12-hour shifts
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant respiratory care experience
• RRT credential (NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist) required
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• Illinois RCP license required — license required if applicable
• Level 1 Trauma facility experience required
• Large hospital facility experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include ventilator management, blood gas analysis (arterial, venous, and capillary), and routine respiratory therapy evaluations for inpatient and ED patients
• Prepares, tests, and maintains respiratory therapy equipment and reports malfunctions appropriately
• Documents accurately in the EMR including respiratory flow sheets, care plans, and charges
• Recommends timely interventions and collaborates with the care team on respiratory treatment plans
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 continuous year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
