American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a night shift position at an academic medical center in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Inpatient respiratory care department at an academic medical center
• Pediatric patient population across all appropriate age levels
• 4x12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week
• 26-week contract length
• Previous experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• RRT credential required (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Oklahoma (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; 2 years in a critical care setting preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification from AHA required (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the computerized medical record
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring
• Serve as a resource to medical staff and participate as part of the rapid response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Previous travelers or employees who have completed a 26-week contract must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a new contract
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
