American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with teaching hospital experience and Epic proficiency for a 4-week day shift inpatient assignment at an academic medical center in Vermont.

Details

• Inpatient respiratory care setting at an academic teaching hospital
• Adult, adult ICU, adult ED, and general pediatric patient populations
• 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Sunday
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Schedule flexibility is required; block schedules are not available
• Epic EMR used on unit

Requirements

• RRT credential required; CRT will not be accepted
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Current certifications required: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS
• Vermont license required if applicable; candidates without Vermont licensure will be considered
• New York license holders may be considered with proof of pending NY license
• At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (one within the past 6 months, one within the past year)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide inpatient respiratory therapy services across adult, adult ICU, adult ED, and general pediatric populations — no NICU or PICU experience required
• All prior specialties and employment history must be thoroughly documented, including bed count, EMR, facility type, and trauma level for each position
• Employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle with all-season or snow tires (November–April) is strongly recommended
