American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract in an 854-bed Level II trauma center's Respiratory Services department in Asheville, NC.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Services department of an 854-bed Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• Serves adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations across critical care units and general floors
• Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients
• Equipment includes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/pediatric ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilator, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
• EMR: Cerner
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Floating required to all critical care units and floors
• At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• NC Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with active practice within the last 6 months
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• NRP preferred; required if assigned to neonatal care
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal service lines
• Night shift staffing includes 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines
• Facility is a regional referral center with a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and a dedicated children's hospital
• Scrub color: Medium Gray/Pewter
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
