American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient PT position, working a 40-hour day shift schedule with no call, weekend, or float requirements.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy setting within a hospital rehabilitation department
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–6:15 PM, Friday 7:00 AM–4:45 PM
• 40 hours per week with no call, weekend, or float requirements
• May require cross-coverage within other Rehabilitation Services departments as needed
• Work involves considerable standing and walking, regular lifting of light objects (up to 20 lbs), and assisting with patient transfers
• Up to 40% of time may involve use of a personal computer or CRT

Requirements

• Active PT or PTA license required if applicable
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy setting required
• Ability to perform physical, electrical, mechanical, and heat treatments per treatment plan
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
• Ability to meet documentation compliance timelines within an electronic health record system

Additional Information

• PTAs will also be considered for this position
• Responsibilities include delivering direct patient care following the established plan of care, conducting individual and group therapy activities, and facilitating patient education
• Involves participation in interdisciplinary team discussions, program development, and student supervision
• May be asked to provide in-services and serve as a resource within the rehabilitation system
• Administrative duties include accurate and timely electronic health record documentation, committee participation, and process improvement involvement
• Expected to maintain and upgrade clinical competencies based on patient population and advances in healthcare technology
