American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a 13-week outpatient orthopedics contract in Maryland, with BLS certification and active state licensure required.

Details

• Outpatient orthopedics clinic setting focused on post-op orthopedic care (general and total joints), back and neck conditions using manual therapy, and other musculoskeletal conditions
• 1:1 patient treatment model with a highly personalized, patient-centered care approach
• State-of-the-art gym equipment and technologies available for patient treatment
• Schedule is Monday through Friday only, no weekends and no holidays
• Clinic hours span 7:00am–7:00pm; team shifts are either early (7:30am–3:30pm) or late (10:30am–7:00pm)
• Web-based EMR system used for documentation

Requirements

• Active Maryland PTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS/BCLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Degree from a CAPTE-accredited program required
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient orthopedic and manual therapy experience preferred; new graduates with strong orthopedic clinical rotations will also be considered
• Strong skills in flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication required

Additional Information

• Deliver outcomes-driven physical therapy services including hands-on manual therapy techniques
• Conduct patient and family education as part of routine care
• Provide accurate and timely documentation for current patient caseload
• Participate in or lead community and educational events as part of the clinic team
