American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and adult care experience for a 13-week day shift assignment at a hospital in Manatee County, FL.

• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• NICU and adult care respiratory therapy setting
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT candidates will not be considered
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a US hospital in the specialty area
• NICU and adult care experience required
• Active, unrestricted license required (no pending licenses); license required if applicable
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA-issued only)
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Administer respiratory care by physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation, management, patient education, and rehabilitation for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies
• Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
• Apply and monitor medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and pharmacological agents related to respiratory care
• Provide cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and hemodynamic cardiovascular support across all care sites
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
