American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and adult care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a hospital in Florida.

• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• NICU and adult care patient populations
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT candidates are not eligible
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a US hospital
• NICU and adult care experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA-issued only)
• Active RT license required (no pending licenses); license required if applicable
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer respiratory care by physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation, management, education, and rehabilitation for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies
• Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
• Apply and monitor medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, and bronchopulmonary hygiene
• Administer pharmacological agents related to respiratory care and provide cardiopulmonary rehab and hemodynamic cardiovascular support
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
