American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract in an Asheville, NC hospital's Respiratory Services department.

Details

• Respiratory Services department in a large, 854-bed regional referral hospital and Level II trauma center
• Adult, pediatric, and NICU patient populations served across critical care units and general floors
• Patient ratios range from 10–25 patients
• Equipment includes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilator, V60 non-invasive device, and Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
• EMR: Cerner
• Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating required to all critical care units and floors

Requirements

• RRT credential required; license required if applicable (NC Respiratory Therapy License required)
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with active clinical experience within the last 6 months
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
• NRP preferred, and required for those caring for neonatal patients
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Night shift team includes 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/peds service lines
• Gray/pewter scrubs required
• 13-week contract
