American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with home health experience and BLS certification for a day shift position serving diverse patient populations.

Details

• Work in a home health setting providing skilled visits to cardiopulmonary, geriatric, med/surg, neuro, ortho, and oncology patients
• Perform a minimum of 6 to 8 home visits daily, with workload adjustments at management discretion
• Self-schedule visits and hours based on the needs of the HomeCare office
• Day shift schedule from 8:00 to 17:00, with every other weekend required
• Use laptop, MiFi for internet access, portable printers, BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation system

Requirements

• Active PTA state license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent home health experience required
• OASIS training preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable car required for home visits
• COVID vaccination or approved exemption required
• Flu vaccination or signed declination and willingness to wear a mask at all times while at work

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, equipment use and education, medication management, and patient and family education on various conditions
• Care for patients recovering from orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and oncological conditions
• Must be skilled in documentation and use of mobility aids such as crutches, gait belts, and supplemental oxygen delivery devices
• Required to identify and report signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
• Business casual attire with any solid color scrubs allowed
