Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a pediatric assignment requiring 18 months recent NICU or PICU experience and current ACLS, BLS, and RRT certifications.

Details

• Work in pediatric respiratory therapy, assigned to NICU, PICU, or pediatric units
• Patient population includes neonatal and pediatric critical care cases
• May float between NICU, PICU, pediatric units, and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts, every other weekend required
• Uses Servo I, Servo U, and Hamilton G5 ventilators
• Cerner EMR charting is required

Requirements

• Current Indiana or Compact Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable
• ACLS, BLS, and RRT certifications required; NRP required if placed in L&D (can be obtained after offer)
• PALS certification is preferred
• Minimum 18 months of recent experience in a Level I children's hospital in the past year, specifically in NICU or PICU
• Graduation from a CoARC and regionally CHEA-accredited program
• Cerner EMR experience required
• AHA or RQI certifications are accepted and must be current upon consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Planned time off (RTO) of 5 days or less can be auto-approved
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays as part of the schedule
• If previously employed as Perm or PRN, a minimum of 12 months away from the facility is required before returning as a traveler
• Assigned home unit (NICU, PICU, or Peds) may change based on facility need
