American Traveler is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with at least 2 years' acute care experience and Epic charting proficiency for a day shift contract at a Level 3 Trauma Center.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital setting at a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:30pm
• Treatment of patients with diagnoses including CVA, CABG, orthopedic surgeries, respiratory failure, chronic conditions, wound management, and amputations
• Epic charting system is required
• Potential weekend coverage required approximately once per month
• Locals are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• Active COTA license required if applicable; pending license considered
• Minimum of 2 years' COTA experience in an acute care setting
• Must have completed at least one prior successful travel assignment without performance or attendance issues
• Proficiency in Epic electronic medical records system is required
• No background check infractions permitted

Additional Information

• Work within a multidisciplinary therapy team to deliver patient care
• Scrub color varies by unit – confirm requirements prior to start
• Zero-fault attendance policy: any missed shift counts as unexcused; two missed shifts result in a warning and three or more may result in assignment cancellation
• No first-time travelers will be considered for this assignment
• Maximum 5 days of pre-approved time off permitted per 13-week contract; no holidays or additional RTO allowed after submission
• Free parking is available for staff
• Travelers must complete required lab work within 48–72 hours of contract signing
• Block scheduling and special scheduling requests are not accommodated
