Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with at least one year of acute hospital experience for a day shift role in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital setting as part of a large multidisciplinary team
• Patient caseload includes orthopedics, neurological, behavioral health, and critical care cases
• Shift is Monday through Friday during the day (typically starting between 6:30 and 7:00 am and ending between 3:00 and 3:30 pm)
• Direct treatment includes morning ADLs, one-on-one therapy, and group facilitation
• Productivity standards are set at 65% to 75% daily with 21-24 billable units per day
• Clinical documentation is completed in a hospital-based EMR system

Requirements

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Maryland COTA license or eligibility; license required if applicable
• Minimum of one year acute care hospital experience required
• Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Experience running OT groups is preferred
• Strong documentation skills in a hospital EMR system are required
• Excellent flexibility, time management, and communication skills are essential
