Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of recent PICU and NICU experience for a night shift position requiring BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) settings
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, 12-hour shifts
• Assigned workload is based on RVU allocation, with approximately 580 minutes assigned per 12-hour shift
• Department orientation provided for one week, followed by shadow training and then independent assignments
• Charcoal gray or pewter scrubs are required

Requirements

• Current VA Respiratory Therapy license required if applicable
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials accepted
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in both PICU and NICU settings

• Role involves caring for critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients in ICU environments
• No on-call or specific holiday requirements are indicated
• Team orientation and initial shadow support are provided before managing own patient assignments
