Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute rehab experience and an active or pending Alaska license.

Details

• Work in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital with both LTACH/ICU and rehab units
• Patient populations include stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and amputations
• Day shifts (4x10 hours), scheduling options include Sun/Mon/Thur/Fri or Mon/Tues/Thur/Fri from 7:00 to 17:30
• Approximately 2 weekend days per month required if not included in regular schedule
• No on-call required
• No floating outside unit or facility required
• Epic charting experience required
• Scrub color is flexible

Requirements

• Current Alaska OT license or ability to obtain prior to start (pending license accepted with preference for license in hand)
• BLS and NBCOT certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of acute rehab facility experience required; IRF experience preferred
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last three years in a comparable rehabilitation setting required
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide therapy services to patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may only work a maximum of 1 calendar year and must take a 6-month break before returning
• Only Hepatitis B vaccines accepted (no titers or declinations)
• Pre-employment and annual modules are required and completed via Workramp
• Housing options in the area may be limited
