American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience, RRT credential, and required GA or Compact licensure for a Level 3 NICU day shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a Level 3 NICU regional transport center caring for neonates
• Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts, 6:30–19:00
• Manages bubble CPAP, NIV, conventional and oscillatory ventilation, uses nitric oxide, and attends high-risk deliveries
• Performs capillary blood gases and line draws
• Uses Epic for EMR, Pyxis, Draeger, Servo I, Viasys Vela, Sensormedic Oscillator, and Viasys Avea equipment
• Floating within the facility and potentially to nearby locations as needed
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Call requirements apply during assignment

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active GA or Compact state license required for consideration
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Experience with neonatal ventilation, bubble CPAP, NIV, and high-risk deliveries
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Gray scrubs required
• Expect to work holidays based on assignment period; RTO for holidays follows strict policy
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed; RTO cannot be taken during the first week
• First-time travelers accepted
• Modules and orientation completed during onboarding; non-billable hours included in contract
• Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Team covers regional transports and collaborates in a multidisciplinary environment
