Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with current Illinois licensure and BLS certification for a predominantly outpatient rehabilitation role.

Details

• Work in a critical access hospital with over 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient/swing bed caseloads
• Treats patients of all ages with a wide range of diagnoses
• Interdisciplinary therapy team includes PT, OT, and Speech Therapy
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Requirements

• Current Illinois State Physical Therapy Licensure required if applicable
• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy program or accredited college/university with a certificate in Physical Therapy
• Current BLS (CPR) certification required
• Experience in all aspects of physical therapy care
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with strong written and verbal skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Physical ability to perform vision, hearing, repetitive motion, and prolonged standing tasks

Additional Information

• Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy treatments as prescribed by a physician
• Directs and supervises physical therapy support staff within the department
• Develops and implements individualized teaching plans for patients and families
• Expected to manage equipment safely and maintain departmental cleanliness and safety standards
• Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Complies with hospital policies and participates in infection control, equipment training, safety, and quality programs
