American Traveler is seeking a Certified Orthopedic Technologist (OTC, NBCOT) with outpatient experience for a day-shift contract covering multiple clinic locations.

Details

• Position is based in an outpatient orthopedic clinic setting
• Primary location is Tarzana, with potential floating to Mission Hills as needed
• Coverage may include both clinics on a floating basis depending on staffing needs
• Day shift schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• No regular weekend or on-call requirements
• Uses Epic for charting and EMR documentation

Requirements

• Current OTC certification through NBCOT is required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Orthopedic Technologist in an outpatient setting
• Outpatient orthopedic experience required
• Epic experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Duties include supporting physicians and providers in orthopedic procedures and patient care in the outpatient clinic
• All candidates must be willing to float between assigned clinic locations as needed
• Minimal to no time off is accepted; any requested time off must be approved in advance
• Orientation modules must be completed prior to start and annually, with average completion time of 16 hours
• Local candidates are accepted under the same terms as travelers
• References from supervisory personnel covering 1 year within the last 3 years are required for consideration
