Description

American Traveler is seeking a registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience and current RRT or CRT credentials for a night shift, resource team role with regional floating requirements.

Details

• Work in a large Level I trauma and teaching hospital with 874 licensed beds
• Role is part of the resource team, providing care for all patient types across the facility including ED, ICU, PCU, and general medical floors
• 12-hour night shifts from 1900 to 0700
• Weekend rotation is every other weekend
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Required to float within Region 2, which includes Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division, and may float mid-shift between facilities within scope of practice
• Uses ventilators (IPPV/NIPPV) and Epic EMR
• Patient population includes varied diagnoses and acuity throughout the hospital

Requirements

• Current RRT or CRT credential
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Respiratory Therapy, including ventilator management
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Current NC licensure required; license required if applicable
• Experience in emergency, intensive, progressive, and general medical care settings
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from home unit

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care across all hospital units as part of a regional resource team
• Supported by respiratory leadership within the department
• Two-day department orientation in addition to facility orientation provided
• Scrubs must be royal blue
• Free parking is available
• Up to 6 days of requested time off may be approved, excluding holidays; additional days require extending the contract
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Mid-shift float travel time between facilities is compensated
• Must be willing and able to float to all designated regional facilities as needed
