American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner with RRT, NBRC, Level 1 trauma, and advanced NICU/PICU experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a hospital setting within the respiratory care department
• Care for patients in Level 1 trauma, NICU, and PICU with exposure to Level 3-4 case complexity
• Night shift position from 7:00PM to 7:30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Consistent use of Epic EMR is required

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy required
• Active Illinois RCP license required if applicable
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• NBRC certification required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year recent respiratory care experience
• Experience in Level 1 trauma and advanced NICU/PICU environments required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assembling, testing, and maintaining respiratory equipment and providing routine and advanced respiratory care
• Perform patient assessments, blood gas analysis, and recommend clinical interventions as necessary
• Accurately document patient care and charges in Epic EMR
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment
• Return travelers must have a 6-month break if previously assigned for a year
• Requested time off may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
