Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient experience and strong orthopedic skills for an acute care inpatient and outpatient setting.

Details

• Work in acute care inpatient and outpatient physical therapy within a Level 4 trauma setting
• Patient population primarily includes orthopedic and neuro cases
• Typical caseload is 12 to 16 patients per day
• Shifts are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, with consideration of 4x10 hour shifts and a random day off during the week
• Cerner EMR system is used and will be transitioning to Epic

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapy license required by start date if applicable
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• At least 1 year of outpatient PT clinic experience required; school experience is accepted for inpatient only
• Strong orthopedic skills required
• Two professional references are required: one from a supervisor and one from a peer or supervisor
• Prefer candidates with dry needling certification or neuro experience

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include treating a diverse caseload across orthopedic and neuro patient populations
• One week department-specific orientation provided, including three days with an assigned mentor and then transition to full caseload
• First-time travelers and travel pairs are accepted
• Returning staff must have an end date at least six months before consideration; hospital approval required for rehire
• Candidates living within 80 miles are considered local and subject to different pay rates
• Business casual attire or scrubs are acceptable
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
