Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist experienced in both PICU and NICU settings for a night shift contract, requiring a VA license and BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work in pediatric and neonatal intensive care units
• Cares for critically ill newborns and pediatric patients, not general pediatric patients
• Night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, 12-hour shifts
• Workload is RVU-based with typical assignment of 580 minutes out of a 720-minute shift
• Department orientation provided, followed by shadowing and unit-specific training

Requirements

• Current VA Respiratory Therapy license required if applicable
• RRT or CRT credentials accepted
• Active certifications in BLS, NRP, and PALS required
• Minimum 2 years of combined PICU and NICU experience required

Additional Information

• Initial week includes department orientation, then shadowing period followed by independent assignments
• Scrubs must be charcoal gray or pewter
