Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with at least 2 years of experience and current Colorado credentials for a Monday to Friday day shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a Rehabilitation Therapy setting covering in-patient, outpatient, and home health cases
• Serve patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, with varying health conditions affecting movement and function
• Assignment is located in a modern, well-equipped Rehabilitation Gymnasium
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Position lasts 13 weeks

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current credentialing by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, State Physical Therapy Board required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years PTA experience required; primarily outpatient experience preferred
• Must have inpatient experience
• Ability to operate relevant physical therapy equipment and perform technical procedures
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide physical therapy treatment interventions under the supervision of a physical therapist
• Adjust and modify interventions for patient safety and progress as directed by the physical therapist
• Collaborate with a team and report directly to the Rehabilitation Manager
• Mental agility and strong communication skills needed for interactions with colleagues, patients, and the public
• Bi-lingual skills are helpful
• Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases possible
• Facility is clean, well-lighted, and climate controlled
