Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a Level IV trauma teaching hospital with both adult and pediatric populations.

Details

• Work in a respiratory/neuro diagnostics unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital environment
• Treats adult and/or pediatric critical care and general care cases
• 3x12 hour shifts available for both days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am)
• Schedule includes weekdays and some weekends
• Floating required within hospital and to sister facilities as needed
• Block scheduling may be available but is not guaranteed
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Current CRT or RRT credential required
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS required
• PALS preferred and NALS preferred if working with pediatrics
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Must provide valid Driver's License and Social Security Number at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• Pending state license accepted

Additional Information

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Time-off requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance and are subject to approval
• Free parking is available for travelers
• RTO restrictions apply; must be manager-approved
• Travelers must live at least 75-100 miles from the facility to qualify
• Orientation classes are held every other Monday
