Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a Level IV trauma teaching hospital, offering night shift positions caring for adult and pediatric critical care patients.

Details

• Position is at a short term acute care, Level IV trauma center and major teaching hospital
• Work in the respiratory therapy/neuro diagnostics unit with both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Critical care and general care cases for adults and pediatric patients
• Night shift hours, 3x12s (7p-7a) on weekdays and some weekends; 4x10s may be available and should be discussed at interview
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs and to sister facilities may be required
• Open to block scheduling but not guaranteed
• Charting is done using Cerner EMR
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Current RRT or CRT credential
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• ACLS and BLS required
• PALS and NALS required for pediatric care
• License required if applicable
• Pending state license accepted
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Candidates must live at least 75-100 miles from the facility to be eligible as travelers
• Request for time off must be submitted at least two weeks before the next schedule and approved by the manager
• No on-call required
• Free parking available for travelers
• Orientation starts every other Monday
