Description

American Traveler is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for acute care at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 18 months of experience and a current Indiana or Compact PTA license.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital setting providing therapy and rehabilitation services
• Day shifts Monday through Friday with 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 to 16:30
• At least one weekend shift per month is required
• Patient population and specific caseload details not specified
• Uses Cerner for charting and documentation
• All travelers will float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Indiana or Compact state; license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of recent PTA experience required
• Degree from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation
• Cerner experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are accepted
• Pending state license is not accepted

Additional Information

• Must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays per contract
• Royal blue scrubs with black shoes required
• Parking is free for staff
• Up to 5 days of requested time off may be auto-approved
• Travelers who were previously permanent or PRN employees must have a 12 month break before rehiring as travelers
