Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an outpatient setting with an active or pending Illinois license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Work in an outpatient clinic within a critical access hospital
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Manage approximately 9 patient visits per day
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Facility has 25 beds and uses Cerner for charting
• No floating required within scope to other units

Requirements

• Active or pending Illinois PTA license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient clinic experience as a PTA required
• Experience with vital signs, assessment, discharge, short term goals, and time management required
• Home exercise program, patient lifting and transfers, and ability to recognize signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse required

Additional Information

• Professional responsibilities include developing and documenting care plans, managing patient exercises, and handling patient discharge processes
• Business casual or professional athletic attire; no specific scrub color required
