Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level IV NICU and pediatric critical care experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in the NICU within a hospital setting serving neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients
• Level IV NICU assignment with high-acuity patient population
• Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 18:45 to 07:15
• Six weekend shifts required per schedule block
• No on-call requirement
• Use of high frequency jet and oscillating ventilators
• Bi-weekly orientation provided
• Locals are accepted within a 75-mile radius

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics with emergency department experience required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Experience with high frequency jet ventilator and oscillating ventilator required
• Experience caring for pediatric cardiac anomalies required
• Current RRT license for North Carolina or Compact license required in hand (license required if applicable)
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
• One supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (no exemptions accepted)
• First-time travelers will be considered

Additional Information

• Provide advanced respiratory care to critically ill neonates and pediatric patients in a Level IV NICU environment
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation and training sessions
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary pediatric and neonatal care teams
• Scrub or dress code in accordance with hospital policy
