American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with NICU and pediatric critical care experience for a night shift position requiring Level IV NICU expertise and advanced ventilator skills.

Details

• Work in a neonatal and pediatric critical care unit
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations
• Requires hands-on use of high frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators
• Night shifts (three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:45 to 07:15)
• Six weekend shifts required per schedule, with schedules published in 6-week blocks
• No on-call required
• Locals accepted within a 75-mile radius

Requirements

• Current RRT license for North Carolina or Compact state in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatric experience, including ED exposure
• Level IV NICU experience is required
• Experience with pediatric cardiac anomalies is required
• Advanced skills with high frequency jet ventilator and oscillating ventilator required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• One supervisory reference from within the last year required
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions accepted
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients, including those with complex cardiac anomalies
• Bi-weekly orientation is provided
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Must comply with local candidate rate policies if residing within 75 miles of the facility
