Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of experience and a current SD license to provide patient care across acute, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings.

Details

• Work in an acute care setting with coverage for outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing facility patients
• Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends and no call duties
• Department has 8 beds and delivers services primarily in a hospital-based outpatient environment, with some inpatient and sub-acute coverage
• Uses EPIC (One Chart) for computerized charting and documentation
• Utilizes various modality equipment relevant to physical therapy

Requirements

• Current SD Physical Therapist license required; license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist
• Active BLS certification required at time of consideration
• Ability to document and manage caseloads using EPIC EMR

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering physical therapy interventions, establishing and modifying therapeutic plans, and educating clients and families on treatment and self-care
• Must demonstrate proficiency in age-related treatments and integrate current research into daily practice
• Department provides Sanford standard orientation for safety and HIPAA, and specific training on departmental equipment and modalities
• Dress code is casual attire
• All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility
• Returning employees must have an employment end date at least 6 months prior to consideration
• Local candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles may be considered with adjusted pay
