Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with neonatal or pediatric experience and recent Epic proficiency for a flexible assignment in New York.

Details

• Work in a hospital setting with opportunities to support nursery and emergency room departments
• Must be flexible with schedule, including every other weekend and adjustments to meet unit needs
• Patient population includes neonatal and pediatric cases
• Utilizes the Epic EMR system
• Assignment is for up to 30 weeks
• Work schedule may include varying shifts Monday through Sunday, with no block scheduling

Requirements

• Current NY state license or proof of application with applied date required for consideration (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience required
• NRP certification required or documented neonatal/pediatric population experience
• Epic charting system experience within the past 2 years is mandatory
• Must have reliable transportation; public transportation is not accessible in the area
• Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires from November through April

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services in both nursery and emergency room settings as needed
• Orientation sessions occur bi-weekly on Mondays
• Holiday and weekend work may be required depending on unit needs
• No block scheduling is permitted for any reason
• Travelers may require a personal or rental vehicle for commute due to location
• Radius requirements apply for travel and local rates; living within 50 miles is considered local
